California Dictionary Project's mission is to donate and distribute a dictionary to every third-grade public school student in California, annually. Founded in 2002, we're an all-volunteer organization and we work virtually (email, phone, web - no brick-and-mortar office).
Description:
No matter where you're based in California, if you love dictionaries, work well online, and want to help improve childhood literacy, we would love to hear from you. Opportunities include one-time Dictionary Day one-hour classroom visits, database, Salesforce, events, grantwriting, newsletter, planning. Thinking of a career in nonprofits? Founded in 2002, the California Dictionary Project has donated and distributed more than 100,000 dictionaries to more than 20 school districts.
