In addition, Ms. Kadoyama teaches Museums and Communities at John F. Kennedy University, providing students with the understanding and tools to develop and implement strategic plans to more fully involve cultural organizations with their communities.
History:
For more than twenty-five years, Margaret Kadoyama has worked with cultural and educational organizations and museums. Her work embraces extensive experience in community involvement, audience development, and education strategic planning, and includes positions with the Department of Museum Studies at John F. Kennedy University, Museum of Craft & Folk Art, California Academy of Sciences, Museum of Oriental Cultures in Corpus Christi, Texas, and the Navajo Tribal Museum in Window Rock, Arizona. Since 1996, Margaret Kadoyama Consulting has served many Bay Area cultural organizations, including the Oakland Museum of California, The Marine Mammal Center, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Marin Museum of the American Indian, Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation, San Francisco Museum of Craft+Design, and the National Japanese American Historical Society, among others.
