Families For Clean Air
Families for Clean Air exists to protect public health from harmful pollution created by wood burning, through advocacy, education, community involvement, and activism.
Description:
We work with the American Lung Association and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to pass and implement regulations that curtail wood burning, educate the public about the health hazards and global warming impact of wood burning, and to advocate for those individuals adversely impacted by wood smoke.
History:
Families for Clean Air was founded in the spring of 2007. Our first endeavor was to achieve the adoption of regulation 6 by Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
