Young Life Marin

Agency Details:

Young Life Marin

Young Life's mission is introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. As a non-profit organization committed to making an impact on kid's lives and preparing them for the future, Young Life builds positive relationships with young people in order to share the good news of God's love.

Description:
Young Life is an outreach program working with middle and high school aged students all over the world. The foundation of our work is relational- we believe in developing authentic relationships with kids in order to earn the right to be heard. We run weekly clubs during the school year, where kids and leaders gather to have fun and hear the good news of God's love for them. We have winter and summer camps where kids and leaders have the best time of their lives. Young Life is run by staff, but grown by volunteer leaders- adults who care about kids.

History:
Young Life was founded and incorporated in 1941 by Jim Rayburn, a seminary student and youth minister in Texas. Mr. Rayburn had a heart for reaching teens, in a relevant, way who needed a message of hope and love. His relational approach has grown across 800 US cities and 50 countries.
