The Imagine Bus Project
The Imagine Bus Project (TIBP) reaches out to youth in underserved communities and provides them with sustained, positive and creative outlets for personal expression. Using visual arts techniques and working closely within communities, our professional artist and educators bring thoughtful ideas to youth and empower them to explore their potential, develop critical thinking skills and build their self-esteem.
History:
Founded in 1998 as a single mobile art bus studio, TIBP has since become a leading provider of visual arts education in the Bay Area. TIBP partners with local school districts, juvenile detention centers, after school programs, and community based organizations to deliver comprehensive visual arts instruction to students who would not otherwise have access to such programming. Our three program areas reach over 2,500 K-12 students in San Francisco, Marin and Sonoma Counties each year.
