Senior Access is committed to assuring that seniors stay in their homes and the community for as long as possible through day programs and services.
Description:
Senior Access provides Adult Day Programs, specializing in working with frail elderly and seniors with chronic illnesses and/or memory loss; an Early Stage Outing Club; and a Caregiver Support Group. Our Adult Day Programs are designed to provide seniors and adults who are experiencing frail health, chronic illness or Alzheimer's disease/dementia a variety of choices for activities and support to ensure continued independent living. The program provides a comfortable place during the daytime that offers activities and a professionally-trained staff experienced in memory disorders. The Early Stage Outing Program is designed especially for those with early stage Alzheimer's disease or dementia. The program is led by skilled facilitators for outings, hikes, adventures and lunches. Caregiver support groups are free to adult caregivers and offer a safe, supportive environment, facilitated by specially-trained professionals. Attendance at a Senior Access center can prevent isolation and provide important social contact and cognitive stimulation.
History:
Senior Access has been serving seniors and other adults with supervised care needs in Marin County, California since 1973.
