Perhaps you are an amateur historian who loves to show visitors around San Francisco? If so, HI-USA SF-City Center Hostel is looking for individuals interested in providing international travelers with a local perspective. You will have the opportunity to research and create a historically and accurate script as the backbone for your tour. This is a wonderful chance to share your knowledge of the City in a way that will create lasting memories for years to come! Three hours per month, with a minimum of six month commitment. Volunteers complete a volunteer application and attend an orientation session. This is an excellent opportunity to meet people from around the world, participate in intercultural exchange and practice public speaking!
Interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills are essential to this position, as well as an interest in public speaking, local history and culture. This opportunity is sponsored by: Hostelling International USA - Golden Gate Council
